Preview: North Wales Crusaders v Keighley Cougars

Our match preview tells you all you need to know ahead of North Wales Crusaders' League 1 clash with Keighley Cougars.

FORMBOOK

This match couldn't be set up any better, with both Crusaders and Keighley winning their opening eight matches to maintain 100 per cent records.

While the Cougars currently sit top of the League 1 table, just 12 points separate the teams in the points difference column.

North Wales' points scored is slightly better than Keighley's as they sit on 347 and 319 respectively.

One, or possibly both, 100 per cent records will come to an end in what should be a fantastic advert for League 1.

ONES TO WATCH

There's plenty of experience throughout the Cougars' side so it probably isn't a shock how well they've started this season.

Whether they opt for Dane Chisholm, Jack Miller or Scott Murrel in the halves, it'll be an interesting match up with Crusaders' six and seven.

Keighley have plenty of big forwards with experience in their pack, while Lewis Young always impresses at fullback and Mo Agoro is difficult to stop carrying the ball out of yardage.

CURTAIN RAISER

The North Wales Men's League with get underway at 2pm as Marchogion Mon Knights take on Bangor Buffaloes.

Tickets will provide fans with entry to both matches and this will be a great opportunity to see some of the local talent playing rugby league in North Wales.

More matches are scheduled as curtain raisers throughout the remainder of the 2022 campaign.
